IMMUNITY BOOSTER DRINK – GINGER SHOTS

Today I am sharing how to make ginger shots packed with vitamins, antioxidants and rich, citrusy flavour. Your immune system is constantly active, figuring out which cells belong to your body and which don’t. This means the immune system needs a healthy dose of vitamins and minerals to keep its energy up and going. The following recipe is packed with essential nutrients for everyday health or for fighting off the cold and flu. If you want to be hale and hearty, your immune system should be working properly.
This drink is packed with full of immune-boosting and healthy ingredients. This immunity booster shots recipe is straightforward to make and takes just a few minutes. These shots can be prepared with both fresh turmeric root or ground powder.
Something about ingredients-
*Orange juice - it is naturally high in vitamin C and potassium as well as being a great source of antioxidant.
*Lemon juice- very high in vitamin C and can help to support heart and digestive health.
 *Honey- It is a rich antioxidant and often used to soothe the sour throat. It adds natural sweetness to the drink 
*Ginger- It helps in digestion, reduces nausea, and helps to fight common cold and illnesses. It also gives the immune booster shot a little zing.
 *Turmeric- Turmeric has many scientifically proven health benefits for your body and brain. It is a great anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. 
*Black pepper- Used to activate the curcumin in the turmeric. Curcumin is also said to keep blood sugar levels steady, improve brain function. So let’s see how to make this simple and effective immunity booster drink at home.

 INGREDIENTS:
1/3 Cup fresh Ginger Root
1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder /Fresh Turmeric Root
1 Lemon
2 Oranges
 1 teaspoon Honey
 Pinch of Black Pepper

METHOD:
STEP 1 – Roughly peel oranges and lemon. Cut into chunks, not to worry if the white pith is there. It is healthy, so keep some. I have freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice, so I used that only.
STEP 2 – Chop ginger in small pieces.
STEP 3 – Now in a blender jar, add all ingredients and add little water.
 STEP 4 – Pulse until blended well.
STEP 5 – Now strain the mixture using a strainer or cheesecloth. 
Squeeze out all the liquid.
STEP 6 – Collect it in a bowl.

STEP 7 - Divide the drink into shot glasses and sprinkle some black pepper powder and serve it.
Enjoy this immunity booster drink with your family.  

NOTES: If available, you can use fresh turmeric root for this recipe. Use ¼ Cup roots if using.
