RESTAURANT STYLE KADHAI PANEER

 Kadai Paneer – a spicy, warming, flavourful and delicious semi-dry dish made with Indian cottage cheese, mixed peppers (capsicum) and few Indian spices. Kadhai paneer gets its name from Kadhai and Paneer. 


INGREDIENTS :

250 gms Paneer

2 Onions, finely chopped

4 Tomatoes, pureed

4-5 Green Chillies, slit vertically

1 Capsicum, cut into cubes

1 big Onion, cut into big chunks

1 teaspoon Kasoori Methi

1 teaspoon Garam Masala Powder

1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder

1 teaspoon Coriander Powder

2 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder

Salt as per your taste

1 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste

1/2 Cup Fresh Cream

3 tablespoons Ghee

1/2Cup Water

Chopped Coriander, for garnishing

1 tablespoon Fresh Cream, for garnishing



METHOD :

STEP 1 - Heat a pan with ghee in it. 


STEP 2 - Add finely chopped onion in it and cook well until it is aromatic and turns light brown in colour.


STEP 3 - Then add tomato puree, mix well and cook till ghee floats around the sides.


STEP 4 - Now add ginger - garlic paste, mix well and cook for 30 seconds.


STEP 5 - Then add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt and give it a nice mix. Cook for a minute.


STEP 6 - Add diced capsicum and onion and mix it well.


STEP 7 - Add 1/2 cup water which makes your gravy smooth, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.


STEP 8 - Add paneer cubes and kasoori methi, give it a nice stir and let it cook for 4-5 minutes on medium flame.


STEP 9 - Now, stir in fresh cream and add green chillies and 


cook for another 1-2 minutes.


STEP 10 - Switch off the flame and garnish with chopped coriander and fresh cream.

Serve hot with any Indian bread and enjoy.
