PAAV BHAJI CHEESE TOAST SANDWICH

Paav Bhaji Cheese Toast Sandwich is nothing but sandwich which is simply made with leftover paav bhaji and generous amount of butter and cheese. It is a delicious classic snack recipe, specially kids favourite. In this unique sandwich we have used only onion rings which gives a nice crunch but you can use some other veggies too. Toast sandwich with leftover paav bhaji is a quick fix breakfast or an evening snack, simple and easy to make with very few ingredients. Here I toasted the bread slices but you can grill them on a grill pan or make it in a sandwich maker. I have learnt the secret to a good sandwich is toasting the bread  on both the sides. I didn’t have my sandwich maker at hand. So I toasted on tawa instead which makes the sandwich equally delicious. Here I used two types of cheese which gives a creamy cheesy goodness to the sandwich.

I always used to make extra paav bhaji to relish on the next day because it tastes just fantastic. For many of us, it all about what to do with leftover paav bhaji. So if you have some leftover paav bhaji, next time think about this and make this sandwich and enjoy it as evening snack or pack it for your kids snack box.

INGREDIENTS:
6 Bread Slices
1 Cup Leftover Paav Bhaji
1 teaspoon Paav Bhaji Masala

1 teaspoon Chaat Masala Powder
Onion Rings
Tomato Ketchup for serving

METHOD:
STEP 1 – Heat a non-stick tawa and add butter on it.
STEP 2 -  Melt it and add some paav bhaji masala and red chilli powder and mix well.

STEP 6 – Then place onion rings over it and sprinkle some chaat masala over it.

STEP 7 – Pre-heat the oven on 160 degree C for 10 minutes.
STEP 8 - Cover the bread slice with another slice of bread. .

Toast them with little butter on non-stick tawa. Repeat the same and toast all the sandwiches

 and keep them aside

STEP 9 – Then line the baking tray with silver foil and grease it with some butter or oil.
STEP 10 – Keep the ready sandwiches over the lined  baking tray.

STEP 11 – Now sprinkle some grated cheese on each sandwich and bake them on 160 degree C for 7-8 minutes or until cheese melts.

STEP 12 – Remove from oven and cut them into triangles and serve hot.

Serve paav bhaji cheese toast sandwich hot with your favourite dip / sauce and enjoy it with a hot cup of tea or coffee.

NOTES: *The recipe is for 3 bread slices which makes 6 sandwiches but you can adjust the ingredients depending on the number of sandwiches you want to make.
