MASALA SHIKANJI LEMONADE

Shikanji is a popular and refreshing drink in every Indian household and is favourite of many in the summer season. Shikanji or Shikanjivi is a perfect is a perfect summer cooler and is a traditional lemonade which is very famous in North India. Nothing like a glass of chilled Nimbu Pani to refresh you, even on the hottest and most tiring days. Although ready mixes are available for Nimbu pani, this homemade version will best them any day in terms of flavours, aroma and the overall refreshing effect. Shikanji is a flavourful summer cooler that is rich in Vit C. What is the basic difference between  normal nimbu pani and shikanji?? Nimbu pani / lemonade is just a mixture of normal water, lemon juice and sugar with a pinch of salt. Whereas for shikanji we needs shikanji masala powder which is prepared with roasted cumin seeds, black salt, black pepper and salt and added to the basic lemonade drink.

INGREDIENTS:
STEP 1 – 2 tablespoon  Shikanji Masala Powder
1 Glass Chilled Water
½ Lemon Juice
METHOD:
STEP 1 – In a serving glass, add juice of ½ lemon,

  2 tablespoon shikanji masala powder and chilled water.

STEP 2 – Mix it well, add some ice cubes and serve.


NOTES: *Adjust more powder sugar if needed.
