It’s very special day for me for two reasons- first is today
is my brothers birthday and second is today my blog completes 300 recipes. So very
happy to share my 300th recipe with you all. Searched so many
recipes to update as the 300th one bout nothing was worth 300. Finally
made this but not so happy with it, still posting it. Actually it didn’t come
out as I thought. Hope you all like it.
It’s a simple chocolate mousse cake but its whole wheat and egg less.
It’s no surprise that chocolate cake is the most likely cake. This is soft,
moist, airy and light cake with creamy chocolate mousse.
So here’s my step by step chocolate mousse cake recipe. Do not

For the cake-
40 gm Chocolate
100 gm Sugar
2 teaspoon Cocoa Powder
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
½ Cup Curd
50 ml Oil
½ teaspoon Vanilla Essence
100 ml Milk
Grated chocolate for garnishing
PROCEDURE:
STEP 1 – Grease a cake pan and keep it aside.
STEP 2 – Pre-heat the oven at 180 degree C for 10 minutes.
STEP 3 – Sieve flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder in a mixing bowl.
STEP 4 – Cut chocolate into small pieces and add to the flour mix.
STEP 5 – In a large bowl, beat curd with sugar till the sugar gets melted
and then add vanilla essence, milk and oil.
STEP 8 – Demould it and keep aside.
For the mousse-
INGREDIENTS:
500 gm Whipped cream
250 gm Chocolate
250 gm Chocolate
METHOD:
STEP 1 - Whip the cream until soft peaks.
STEP 2 – Melt the chocolate by double
boiler.
STEP 3 – Add the chocolate part by part by
stirring the whipped cream gently and continuously.
To assemble the cake –
STEP 1 – Cut the cake horizontally in two
parts to make two layers of the cake.
STEP 2 – On the lower layer of the cake put
a layer of mousse.
STEP 3 – Repeat the same process again by
keeping the second layer of the cake on the layer of mousse and then cover the
cake by mousse.
STEP 4 -
Decorate it with whipped cream, chocolate shavings and sprinkles.
