INGREDIENTS :
1 Cup Peanuts
1 Cup Grated Jaggery[ adjust as
per your liking and taste]
A pinch of Cardamom Powder
METHOD :
STEP 4 - In the meanwhile grate jaggery . I use organic
jaggery, its dark brown in colour.
STEP 6 - For 1 cup of ground
peanuts, you can take 3/4th cup of grated jaggery.
STEP 7 – Add jaggery in mixer jar and blend on pulse mode. We just want to combine jaggery with peanuts so be careful and do not blend for longtime.
STEP 7 - Once they are mixed well, transfer to a mixing bowl and add cardamom powder and mix them together.
Laddoos are ready to serve. These can be stored for about
10 days.
NOTES - * I never remove the skin from the peanuts.
*The oil ozed out from peanuts is just
sufficient to make the laddoos.
*Do not grind peanuts and jaggery
separately and then mix it, it will not
form a dough.
*Laddoos can be stored in an air tight
container for about 15 days.
*Jaggery quantity can be adjusted as
per your palate taste. ¾ cup to 1 cup is sufficient.
*If in the end you are not able to roll
the laddoos, then heat up the mixture for a minute, jaggery will melt and then
you can make balls.
* Alternatively, you can add 1-2 tablespoon ghee in the mixture, mix well and then make ladoos.
*If you don’t want the skin, then just rub
the peanuts with your hands and blow away the skin. This is the easy way to
remove the skin.
