PANI PURI

Pani Puri ,also known as gol gappe, is a street snack in several regions of India.It consists of a round hollow puri ,fried crispy and filled with a mixture flavored water ,tamarind chutney , chaat masala ,potato ,onions and chickpeas.




 


INGREDIENTS:

Puris [available in the market]

For tangy TAMARIND CHUTNEY :


1 cup Tamarind
1 cup Jaggery  [Gud]
1 cup Dates
Salt
Black salt
water


For chatpati GREEN CHUTNEY:


1 cup Mint leaves [pudina]
1 cup Fresh coriander
Green chillies
Ginger
Garlic
Salt
Powder pani puri masala

Water 


For STUFFING:

2- 3 Boiled and mashed Potatoes
1 Onion
Chopped coriander 
1 cup Boiled Chickpeas [ chana ]
Salt 
Chaat masala 
1/4 Cup Khari Boondi
1/4 Cup Nylon shev 


 
METHOD :
 

For TAMARIND CHUTNEY :

STEP 1 - Soak tamarind ,jaggery and dates in water in equal quantity for almost 5-6 hours . Then tamarind and dates becomes soft and jaggery gets dissolved in water . Mash the dates and tamarind using hands and sieve/ filter the water with the help of a siever  . 
STEP 2 - Add salt and black salt to this.
                 Your tamarind chutney is ready .

For GREEN CHUTNEY :
 

STEP 1 - Grind all ingredients without pani puri masala and salt in mixer with little water . 
STEP 2 - Filter it and add water as per your quantity . Add salt and pani puri masala and mix well .
 

 For STUFFING :

STEP 1 - Take boiled and mashed potatoes ,boiled chickpeas ,chopped onion and coriander .


Mix all ingredients and add little salt to it .



Now PLATING time : 

Take a puri ,add potato mix in it ,
nylon shev ,

add tamarind as well as green chutney to it and put directly to your mouth .


                    Yummy pani puri ready .........taste it and enjoy ......
