This dish is a tasty side dish for chapati / rice.Soya chunks is a healthy soya flour product which is considered to be a vegetarian meat substitute.It is an excellent source of proteins and has a lot of health benefits.My kids like soya chunks and hence I try to prepare them very often.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Soya chunks
2 Onion
2-3 tablespoon Grated Coconut
1/2 inch Ginger
6-7 Garlic Cloves
2-3 teaspoon Red Chilly Powder
3 teaspoon Coriander Powder
2-3 teaspoon Garam Masala
1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
Salt as per taste
METHOD:
STEP 1 - Roast onion and coconut . Make a paste of onion , coconut , garlic and ginger.
STEP 2 - Soak soya chunks in lukewarm salt water for 5 minutes .
STEP 3 - Take a pan ,put oil and onion -coconut paste in it .
Saute it and add all spices and again
saute for a while .
STEP 4 - Now add soya chunks in it , stir properly and add water .
STEP 5 - Your soya chunk gravy is ready for serving . Garnish with fresh coriander .
Serve hot .....enjoy with chapati / rice .
NOTE - You can make it dry - don't add water , just saute it for sometime with lid n serve dry chunks .
