CHOCOLATE BURFI

If you are a chocolate lover then this is one dish that is made for you which is one more easy, quick and delicious recipe. The instant version of chocolate burfi with just few ingredients and guaranteeing a blissful taste. The blend of chocolate and cashews are totally to die for. I bet you can't eat just one. A quick dessert perfect for festivals like Diwali or kids party. Not only children but the elders would love this. Various burfi versions have become popular in different regions of India, which includes Almond Burfi, Gram Burfi [besan burfi], Cashew Burfi, Peanut Burfi and of course today's recipe at as per taste- Chocolate Burfi. If you are anything like me, you will have condensed milk, cocoa powder and butter all the time on hand. So why to wait, just whip and indulge in this tempting Burfi.

INGREDIENTS:
1 tablespoon Cocoa Powder
1 + ½ tablespoon Milk
½ Cup Cashew Powder
½ Cup Biscuit Powder [see notes]
1 tablespoon Walnuts, finely chopped
½ Cup Condensed Milk
1 tablespoon Butter at room temperature

FOR Garnishing:
2-3 Almonds, sliced
1 teaspoon Pistachio Powder


METHOD:
STEP 1 – Take a wide pan, add cocoa powder and 1 tablespoon milk in it.
Mix it well. It will look like a paste. If not then add the remaining ½ tablespoon milk and mix well.
STEP 2 – Then add condensed milk
and butter to it.
STEP 3 – Now mix it properly with a spatula.
STEP 4 – Now put the pan on the stove and swtich on the flame. Keep the flame high.

STEP 5 – Cook the mixture till it starts to boil.[see notes] Continues stirring is important here. Otherwise the mixture will stick to the bottom.
STEP 6 – As soon as the mixture starts boiling, remove from heat.
STEP 7 – Now add cashew powder
and biscuit powder in it.
STEP 8 – Mix it well and get combined with cocoa mixture properly.
STEP 9 – Again put the pan on heat and cook till the mixture get thickened. It will take hardly ½ minute.
STEP 10 – When the mixture get thickened, remove from heat. Add chopped walnut in it. Mix it well.
STEP 11 – In a square box or mould, spread a cling wrap. Pour the mixture on it and spread evenly.
 STEP 12 – Garnish with chopped almonds and pistachio powder.

STEP 13 – Keep it in refrigerator for 1 hour. Remove from refrigerator
and cut into desired shape and serve. 
Chocolate burfi is ready to serve.


NOTES: Here I used Oreo Cookies for my recipe but you can use any sweet biscuits for your recipe.
 It will take maximum 1 minute to start boiling.
