POLICHA CHURMA / LEFTOVER CHAPATI POHA



We are often stuck with leftovers, which are neither appetizing enough to have early in the morning nor they can be wasted. Here I am sharing an easy recipe with leftover chapattis. What a magic, convert these leftovers into a hot , healthy and tasty breakfast?? This recipe is super delicious recipe. Using few spices and onion and you can create a fresh new dish.

INGREDIENTS:
 4-5 Chapatis
1 Chopped Onion
2 teaspoon  Red Chilly Powder [ As per taste]
1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
Salt as needed
1 sprig Curry Leaves
1 tablespoon Peanuts
1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida [ a pinch ]
1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds 
1 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
chopped Coriander
1 tablespoon Oil


METHOD:

STEP 1 - Roughly chop chapattis with hands.

STEP 2 - Then add to mixer pot
and grind to make a coarse powder.


STEP 3 – Sprinkle some water,
add red chilli powder, salt and give a nice mix.

STEP 4 -  Heat a pan in a pan on medium heat, crackle cumin-mustard seeds, add asafoetida and peanuts.

STEP 5 – Add curry leaves, chopped onion and sautรฉ it for a minute/ till the raw flavour of onion vanishes.
STEP 6 – Add turmeric powder and mix well.


STEP 7 - Add chapati mixture to the pan and mix well and cook for few minutes uncovered until chapatti is slightly crispy.

STEP 7 – Drizzle lemon juice and mix well. 

Garnish with coriander and serve.
             Serve this churma with curd/buttermilk or mango pickle.
